Untitled (Niagara Gorge), by Claire Shuttleworth. Oil on canvas, ca. 1915.

As with most stories focused on artistic subjects, there was simply not enough room in our previous article to include works of many of the artists mentioned, as well as others who were not.  Therefore, we devote this installment of the old photo album to more examples of Western New York’s regional artistic heritage. To see these incredible works in person, along with many others, we invite you to visit the Burchfield Penney Art Center for their exhibit, In the Fullness of Time, running from November 8, 2019 through March 1, 2020.

There's so much more history in store.
