A Bevy of Bennett Homes- Old Photo Album

Spring 2024

Catalogs courtesy Building Technology Heritage Library and Columbia University Libraries

As the weather warms up, it’s a perfect time for a regional scavenger hunt!  Review Greg Pinto’s article on Bennett Kit Homes, then check out this extended list of Bennett styles. We’ve provided some real-life examples of a number of the designs from North Tonawanda in this unique edition of the Old Photo Album, but there are many, many more!  Check out archive.org and elsewhere for a good selection of catalogs from the 1920s, 1930s and 1950s, then put on your sleuthing cap and start hunting!

Oh—and be sure to let us know if you find any Bennett homes on your adventure—or even if you own one yourself.  Drop us a line at editorial@wnyheritage.org.  We’d love to hear from you!
